TXMission Launches LEO Satellite Ka-band Transceiver
June 30, 2021
TXMission is pleased to announce the launch of a new Ka-band transceiver for smallsat, UAV and HAPS applications. The Ka-band transceiver is a CubeSat-compatible low weight, size and power assembly comprising up/down converters, a two watt SSPA and an LNA. The frequency ranges that are supported as standard are 18.2 to 20.2GHz for transmit and 27.5 to 30GHz for receive. The frequency ranges and power output can be customized on request.
The transceiver can be provided standalone or fully integrated with our Quest™ Onboard Modem. The feature set of the modem has been carefully selected to provide the waveforms, features and performance needed by smallsat and airborne applications, such as 4G/5G, IoT, telecoms, edge computing, intelligence gathering and ground observation. The Quest™ modem supports DVB-S2/S2X at data rates up to 1Gbps and it is matched by our Connect™ Ground Station Modem. All communications between the two modems can optionally pass over a secure VPN tunnel that is encrypted using AES-256.
Datasheets for the Ka-band transceiver, Quest™ Onboard Modem and Connect™ Ground Station Modem can be found in our Downloads area.
